Trivia / Space Quest VI: Roger Wilco in the Spinal Frontier

• Corpsing: Gary Owens is on the verge of losing his composure in several spots, most noticeably the message you get when looking at the theater on Polysorbate Sixty.
• The Other Darrin: William Hall replaces Jeff Bender as the voice of Roger here.
• Troubled Production: The game was initially written and developed by Josh Mandel, but management issues forced him to leave Sierra in the middle of the project, and Scott Murphy took his place. Neither of them communicated much during the remaining development, leaving several puzzles without hints, and the Datacorder puzzle was only avoided by Josh asking Scott about it just before the game shipped.
• Vaporware: The CD comes with a preview of Space Quest 7. (Only the version on the Collection Series compilation—the original stand-alone release has no such preview).
• What Could Have Been:
  • The game was going to be titled Where in Corpsman Santiago is Roger Wilco? until Brøderbund Software threatened to sue Sierra.
  • According to Josh Mandel, he proposed an ending that would be a parody of Planet of the Apes, with Roger discovering a statue of Leisure Suit Larry instead of the Statue of Liberty. However this idea was shot down by Scott Murphy.
