• Approval of God:
  • Shinichi Higashi, Fang's original creator, has retweeted the Fang portion of the remake's tie in comic.
  • According to Noah Copeland, while Sega and Sonic Team themselves have not publicly commented on the remake, numerous current and former Sega employees have privately reached out to him and praised the remake through their personal channels.
• Author's Saving Throw: The final content update, which also ported the game to Android and Mac, introduced new concepts for the endgame of Team Sonic; the True Ending of Sonic and Tails's campaign has a proper ending cutscene, while Knuckles gets two brand-new boss fights that really test his available abilities.
• Descended Creator: Fang's laughter is voiced by Noah N. Copeland himself (then obviously sped up and bitcrushed).
• Production Posse: This game's development team has some overlap with the one responsible for Sonic Time Twisted, such as artist Dee Liteyears and programmer VectorSatyr. Several Time Twisted team members, including Overbound himself, are listed under "Special thanks" in the credits.
• Schedule Slip: Due to performance issues, the Android port (originally planned to be released days after the 1.0.0 PC version) was put on the backburner. Suffice to say, the optimization took longer than expected. The version (which also ported the game to Mac and added a few extra things) finally released on the 26th of May, 2023.
• What Could Have Been: The first trailer of the game featured a simpler and different art style, with sprites that looked closer to Sonic Time Twisted than Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The trailer also suggests the music was gonna be done with real instruments (as Grand Turquoise was done in a rock style) as opposed to being done in the 16-bit style of the Genesis Sonic titles.
