• Accidentally-Correct Writing: While mapping out the USA, Olivia notices Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana look like a person, which she dubs "The MIMAL Man." While this sounds like a bizarre thing only Olivia would say, it's a real mnemonic taught in geography classes.
• He Also Did: Shayne stars as Matt Bradley on The Goldbergs and previously appeared on iCarly, something that is frequently referenced, usually in Try Not to Laugh sessions to get him to break. He and Damien made their name in So Random!, sometimes inviting their former costars over to take part in the videos.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: Courtney had a sore throat while filming an episode of Smosh's Seriously Super Stupid Sleepover ("WE'RE IN GAME OF THRONES W/ CLEVVER" with guest stars Erin Robinson and Joslyn Davis), so Shayne put on a cheap wig and impersonated Courtney, creating Courtney FREAKING Miller.
• Throw It In!:
  • The first "Where's Anthony?" gag on the site came from Shayne during the 2017 Smosh Summer Games, partly because he'd already been in a similar situation upon joining the cast of So Random! after Demi Lovato quit Sonny with a Chance. By his own admission after rewatching every instance of the gag following Anthony's return, he half-expected to be told that they couldn't use the line and to say something else as his Last Words during "SHOOTOUT TO THE DEATH CHALLENGE."
  • How Courtney FREAKING Miller came to be. Courtney was unable to be part of a sketch, so someone half-jokingly suggested Shayne wear a blonde wig and pretend to be Courtney.
  • The title of "Put it in My Mouth". Noah suggested it as a joke and was shocked it was actually picked.
