Trivia / Simjago

  • Cheat Code: Too many to list, but the most major one in play increases the compacity of the Monastery from housing just 8 Sims to now being able to handle 20-22!
    • The famous Motherload cheat has actually been banned from play. The creater's statement as to why? "They struggle like in season 2!"
  • Critical Existence Failure: Almost happened to the Simjago save file, due to one of the many, many cheats, mods, and pieces of custom content misfiring. Fortunetly, disaster was averted by deleting all the mods and slowly adding them back in.
    • Due to another mod/cheat, half the characters can spontaneously cease to exist if the wrong method of Create A Sim is used.
  • International Coproduction: Between Canada (Lily's creator, who runs the main software and takes the photos) and the USA (IRL Brittney, her incredibly lucky co-producer and social media runner).
  • Missing Episode: There's no photos from the first two in-game days of play because getting the house set up for so many Sims made it basically impossible to take any worth-while screenshots. It was definitely a steep learning curve getting used to keeping track of so many characters at once.
  • Save Scumming: Used to hell and back during The Quadruple Wedding, which took no less than 7 attempts to get all the needed photos.
  • Schedule Slip: While not having a set posting schedule, it can sometimes take a while between updates. In general, the longer it takes for an update to happen, the bigger it is.
  • Throw It In!: At the time of the play through's start, there wasn't a way to give Sims magic/Elemental Powers. As a substitute, the Ninja, Sensei's, and other Elemental Masters were made vampires so that they could still have some kind of powers.
    • Morro's death, while discussed as a future possibility behind the scenes, happened organically and took the showrunners by surprise. The opportunity to have him actually be a ghost was too good to pass up, so the event was kept.
