Trivia / Sherlock Holmes (Frogwares)

• Follow the Leader: The "Sherlock Vision" of the later games was acknowledged to have been inspired by Sherlock, and the appearances of Holmes and Watson in The Devil's Daughter seemed inspired by both Sherlock and the 2009 film as opposed to earlier depictions like previous games in the series. Chapter One continues this idea, featuring a younger and more reimagined version of the character more similar to modern depictions.
• The Other Darrin: A common occurrence in the series, with Holmes and Watson often being recast. In the first game John Bell voiced both Holmes and Watson, but after that Holmes was voiced by Rick Simmonds from 2004 to 2009, Kerry Shale from 2011 to 2014, and Alex Jordan starting in 2016 while Watson was voiced by David Riley from 2004 to 2012, Nick Brimble in 2014, and Andrew Wincott starting in 2016. Note that this is only in regards to the series as a whole, as so far Jordan and Wincott are the current voice actors for the reboot continuity.
• Role Reprise: Alex Jordan and Andrew Wincott took over the role of Holmes and Watson respectively in 2016's The Devil's Daughter, the last game in the original continuity. The former returned in 2021's Chapter One and the latter in 2023's The Awakened, both of these being set in the reboot continuity.
