- Box Office Bomb: Budget, $65 million. Box office, $24.5 million. Mixed reviews and audience unfamiliarity with the Trope Namer title character hurt this fairly pricy action-horror-comedy, but its release date proved most deadly. It opened at fourth at the box office behind the juggernauts of Universal's own The Super Mario Bros. Movie and John Wick: Chapter 4 and the much-less-expensive horror film The Pope's Exorcist. The release of an even more successful horror film the next week, Evil Dead Rise, put a stake through the film's heart, and it vanished from theaters not long after.
- Directed by Cast Member: The Canadian French dub was directed by Manuel Tadros, who also voiced Chris.
- Divorced Installment: This movie began life as a Dracula-centered film being made as part of the Dark Universe. After the Dark Universe concept was scrapped in 2020, it was redeveloped as an independently-set movie.
- Dueling Works:
- Noticeably the first of two Dracula-centric movies to be released in 2023 by Universal, followed by The Last Voyage of the Demeter. The key differences are that this movie is a modern-set Horror Comedy while Demeter is a more straight horror film set during the time period of the book, and that Dracula in this film Looks Like Cesare while the Demeter version Looks Like Orlok.
- There's also 2023's Wrath of Dracula, which is centered around the Dracula mythos character of Mina Harker.
- Playing Against Type:
- Ben Schwartz, known primarily for heroic roles like Sonic the Hedgehog and friendly comic relief characters like Jean-Ralphio Saperstein, plays the thoroughly monstrous (yet still quite comedic) Teddy Lobo.
- Awkwafina usually plays comic relief characters, but here she's the relative straight woman to the bizarre Renfield.
- Real-Life Relative: In the Canadian French dub, Renfield is voiced by Xavier Dolan. The latter's father, Manuel Tadros, is also the voice of Chris (as well as the dub's director)
