Trivia / Reksio

• No Export for You: Most of the PC games and books featuring Reksio haven't been published outside of Europe.
• Pop-Culture Urban Legends: From mid-2000s till was once a rumor written on the Polish Wikipedia page that the show was supposed to have three Christmas-themed episodes (titled Reksio and Santa Claus, Reksio and the Christmas Tree and Reksio and Snow Man) that were meant to be directed by Lechosław Marszałek. None of such episodes were mentioned at SFR's website. It wasn't until April 2020 that the mention about non-existent episodes were removed from The Other Wiki due to lack of sources.
• What Could Have Been: As noted in Leszek Talko's and Karol Vesely's book Królowie bajek, Zdzisław Kudła recalled that after Reksio and the Birds season was greenlit, Lechosław Marszałek came up with the scripts that were implied to be stranger and darker than final episodes. The final episode called Reksio and the Owl in particular was supposed to end with Reksio (after failing to help animals and consequently leaving his house) chopping his head off with an ax. SFR's management forbid him to end the episode like that (as it was a cartoon aimed at children after all), and as a precaution, they chose Ryszard Lepióra and Andrzej Flettner as directors of the last season, to ensure Reksio was alive.
