• Quietly Cancelled: Despite the game having progress shown as a pre-alpha, and the being picked up by Chinese publisher FUZE, news on the game had gone radio silent since the initial Kickstarter ended. With their publisher vanishing after their failed attempt at a home console in their native market, and Comcept being folded into Level-5, it’s safe the say that this game will never come out.
• Stillborn Franchise: Since Keiji Inafune's career was damaged by the issues surrounding the game and Comcept was bought by Level-5, this would not become a franchise anytime soon.
• Vaporware: The game was never officially cancelled, but Mighty No. 9's failure ensured it would never be released.
