Trivia / Quantico

Go To

  • Actor Allusion:
    • Eric eating his gun could be considered one to Sense8, where his actor Brian J. Smith stars as Will Gorski. The action is frequently repeated by characters throughout the first season.
    • A bit of casting gag for Jake McLaughlin since he did serve in Iraq in the US Military, but through the Army prior to leaving due to an injury he sustained.
    • Another casting gag is for Priyanka Chopra who was raised abroad partially, living with relatives in the U.S. In the show, she lived with her relatives in India.
    • Elias fails the "sacrifice" test. Rick Cosnett's previous character actually did sacrifice his own life for the greater good.
      • Also, both characters end their run on the series with suicide.
    • This isn't the first time Johanna Braddy has played a skilled markswoman - her character in Video Game High School, Jenny Matrix, was primarily a sniper on the school's junior-varsity FPS team.
    • In "Clue," one scene has Hannah saying that she's been "benched." Benched was the title of a short-lived 2015 USA Network series in which her actress, Eliza Coupe, played the lead.
    • Liam is an alumnus of the University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, Kentucky, the birthplace of the actor who portrays him.
  • Actor-Shared Background:
    • Like Nimah/Raina Amin, Yasmin Al Massri is from Lebanon originally, and moved to the United States.
    • Jocelyn Turner is deaf and uses ASL, like her actress Marlee Matlin.
  • California Doubling: The FBI Academy is in Marine Corps Base Quantico in northern Virginia, and the show's present day portions are set in New York City. The pilot was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, with the rest of season one shot in Montreal and in Sherbrooke, Quebec in Canada. While filming moved to New York from season 2, the trope is still played straight for scenes set elsewhere.
  • Fake American/Fake Mixed Race:
    • Priyanka Chopra (Alex Parrish) is a full-blooded Indian from what is now the state of Jharkhand in eastern India, but plays an Indian-American with Caucasian ancestry.
  • Playing Their Own Twin: Nimah and Raina are both played by Yasmine Al Massri.
  • Queer Character, Queer Actor: Rick Cosnett as Elias Harper and Russell Tovey as Harry Doyle. Both are gay like their characters, though Cosnett came out after the show ended.
