Trivia / Princess Peach: Showtime!

Go To

  • He Also Did: The game was directed by Good-Feel's president Etsunobu Ebisu, who previously directed several Ganbare Goemon titles at Konami. In fact he hadn't been in the director's chair for 27 years, with the last title he directed being Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (another game about theater) back in 1997.
  • Sequel Gap: While not a direct sequel, the game did release a good 18 years after Peach’s first starring role in 2005’s Super Princess Peach.
  • Working Title: Somewhat infamously, the game was titled Princess Peach will star as the main character in a brand new game on an investor report.

Other:

  • The game shares the distinction of having Princess Peach's name spelled in English (プリンセスピーチ; Princess Peach) instead of with Japanese Honorifics (ピーチ姫; Peach-hime) in the Japanese title with Super Princess Peach.
  • Starting in 2013, Nintendo released their new games on Fridays. Showtime! was the final game that Nintendo released on a Friday before shifting to Thursdays in May 2024.
