• Keep Circulating the Tapes: There has never been a video or DVD release. The only way of watching it is as a rerun on Fox.
• The Other Darrin: Follows The French Connection 2 after about ten years, but stars Ed O'Neill instead of Gene Hackman.
• What Could Have Been: It was meant be the Pilot Movie of a TV series starring Ed O'Neill, but wasn't picked up. Had it been picked up, the Al Bundy we know and love may never have come to be.
• The opening sequence, simply filmed around New York, was shot on a day the Statue of Liberty was being worked on. We see the statue shortly before Popeye appears on screen, and at least one worker is visible on the base, which shows just how small it actually is.
