- Creator's Oddball:
- The original "I Ain't Got No iPhone" has lyrics about suicide, darker than the usual cutesy fare. The 2015 version removes the suicide references.
- He wrote songs for Hazbin Hotel and the spin-off Helluva Boss, series meant for adults rather than kids Gripp caters to. This includes singing the I.M.P. Jingle for the latter, which has lyrics about murder.
- Newbie Boom: "I Ain't Got No iPhone" was primarily known to people who were active on the Internet in the late 2000s to early 2010s (primarily late Millennials and early Zoomers). In 2021, the voice actor Bassetfilms released a cover of the song in the voice he used for the Monster in Friday Night Funkin', bringing a lot of younger fans to the song for the first time.
