  • B-Team Sequel: While still produced by Madhouse note , Panyo Panyo is the only anime in the Di Gi Charat franchise to not be directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, instead being directed by Shigehito Takayanagi note .
  • Channel Hop: The original series and specials aired on TBS, Panyo Panyo (as well as Nyo!) however aired on TV Tokyo.
  • Creator's Favorite: Allison Sumrall states that Rinna is one of her favorite roles in her commentary.
  • Creator's Favorite Episode: Hilary Haag, the English voice of Puchiko, says that her in her episode commentary that her favorite episode is 22, with 24 being her second.
  • DVD Commentary: Commentaries on various episodes from the English VAs of Dejiko, Puchiko, Meek, and Rinna are available on the DVDs released for the series.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": As the first entry of the franchise to be released in North America, this was the first time audiences in that region were exposed to Dejiko, Puchiko, Gema and Piyoko note .
  • Out of Holiday Episode: The last four episodes of the series take place during Christmas and aired in April.
  • Sequel First: This was the first Di Gi Charat anime to be dubbed and released in North America, however the prior TV series and Leave It To Piyoko! would be dubbed and released the following year.
  • Studio Hop: This is the only entry in the Di Gi Charat franchise to have sound effects provided by Sound Box instead of Fizz Sound Creation.
  • What Could Have Been: Hilary Haag mentions in her commentary that she was originally going to comment over Episode 22, the one with the pig race, but ran out of things to say.
  • You Sound Familiar: Kyoko Hikami, the voice of Rabi~en~Rose, voices the narrator in Panyo Panyo. This gets referenced in Episode 48 when Rabi~en~Rose makes her only appearance, with it being while the narrator is talking.
