• Accidentally-Correct Writing: The story features Anguirus as a playable character midway through the story. As it turns out, a playable (albeit very limited) form of Anguirus can be found in the original game's files, implying that the monster was meant to be playable in the game after all!

  • Toby Fox has stated in the Undertale Art Book that one of Flowey's inspirations was Face.
  • Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion's Specimen 9 has many similarities to Red, with it also being a very fast, red demon with a skull-like face, that serves as the Final Boss of the game's Story Mode.
• Series Hiatus: Cosbydaf does plan to finish the sequel; he had previously put it on hold while making his own kaiju game. He has returned to writing and design work for Chapter 6 of the creepypasta as of 2019, and has been posting previews of sprites featured in it to his Deviantart page. On 27th March 2023, the first part of Chapter 6 saw the light of day, over 6 years after the fact.
• What Could Have Been: The cancelled game series Colossal Kaiju Combat! (from Sunstone Games and developed by people who were involved in the Pipeworks Godzilla game trilogy) was intended to feature the original story's antagonist, Red, and his archnemesis Solomon.
