• Creator Breakdown: Due to the ever increasing quality of his episodes (compare the first and last episodes) that resulted in him taking up more time than he wanted to, DWK suffered a massive example of this and needed some time off. Combine this with the show having long ended, he just lost the motivation to work, resulting in the Series Hiatus and eventual cancellation. He even admits that all the drug and booze references aren't for his character, it is his real life issues bleeding into the series.
• Reality Subtext:
  • After Vice-Principal Luna insults Sunset Shimmer in the recap of Rainbow Rocks, DWK tears into her, saying she's the kind of person who would pick on a kid for coming to school while high, "but he was actually up late because he was doing his homework like he was fuckin' supposed to." It's clear DWK is working through a few issues during his rant.
  • During Limestone's "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Pinkie in "Rock Solid Friendship", a caption pops up that certifies that DWK is legitimately angry, most likely at himself. During DWK's "Shimcast" and "Glimcast", he mentions there was an unnamed incident in his past that made him realize how horrible of a person he was, and vow to be more mature, so his rant at needing someone to be more mature comes off with more personal rage.
• Series Hiatus: The most recent episode came out in November 2019, nothing was heard from DWK's channel until June 2021. However, that was to post a farewell video that acts as the official cancellation of the series while explaining what happened to him when he was supposedly off the grid.
• Word of God: When asked why he hates Zipporwhill so much on his patreon, DWK explained its because she's Cute, but Cacophonic. He knows that Tabitha St. Germain voices her and that she does a lot of good voice work on the series, but finds the way Zipporwhill talks to be very annoying.
