• Edited for Syndication:
  • There are some reports of Belle's song "Winter was Warm" getting cut from broadcast TV airings in the late 80s-90s.
  • When NBC re-aired the special in 2012, they edited out the Framing Device to make room for commercials, although it aired uncut on The CW in 2014.
  • Some televised airings swapped the Past and Present sections to more closely match the original story.
• Throw It In!: The "We're Despicable" number was added very late into production (and was animated in two weeks!) because the special's run-time was just a few minutes too short.
• Vanilla Edition: Exaggerated. The Greek dollar-store DVD release of the special, which was released in 2015 (one of the last ever made there alongside Frosty the Snowman), features no extras. The film starts playing as soon as the disc is popped in the DVD player (there's no DVD menu).
