- Channel Hop: This was the first game released on a non-PlayStation system, due to the difficulties to develop it for the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation Portable would later get one more entry from the series (Monster Hunter Portable 3rd), but from 3 Ultimate onwards the series stayed exclusive to Nintendo systems until its fifth generation, when the series became Multi-Platform.
- Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": While the original game isn't an example, the Updated Re-release 3 Ultimate incorporates into its bestiary Arzuros, Great Wroggi, Lagombi, Volvidon, Nibelsnarf, Duramboros, Zinogre and nearly all third-generation subspecies that debuted in the Japan-exclusive Portable 3rd (only Brute Tigrex and Amatsu were skipped over; even then, the former would later debut overseas in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, while the latter did in Monster Hunter Generations).
- Urban Legend of Zelda: In an interesting crossover with the Mandela Effect, throughout the third generation games and onward it was often claimed that a hungry Deviljho could eat his own severed tail. However, despite countless claims from players saying they have personally witnessed it, no conclusive evidence of this being true has appeared from any of the games Deviljho has appeared in. This seems to all stem from a claim in a Capcom NA promo video, and simply became "common knowledge" from there. While odd, it should be considered that nobody involved in the video actually worked directly on the games, so their word can come with as much salt as anyone else's.
