- What Could Have Been: He was one of the last two candidates (Sugizo being the other), to be the lead guitarist of X Japan. The story was actually written off by many fans as Urban Legend of Zelda or the work of a Yaoi Fangirl, until both he and Yoshiki mentioned it in later interviews. The position went to Sugizo, who has performed admirably in the position, but Miyavi would have brought a youthful and different energy possibly even more similar to hide's to the band — so it is a field for speculation as to what would have happened had Miyavi actually gotten the position.
