Trivia / Miyuki

  • Colbert Bump: It being namedropped in No More Heroes resulted in a spike in interest.
  • Incestuous Casting: Masato Wakamatsu and his stepsister Miyuki Wakamatsu in a school play.
  • Missing Episode: In addition to the censorship imposed on the anime when it reached the European market, five episodes were cut entirely from the Italian release (and subsequently the French dub, which was adapted from the Italian). A sixth episode (episode 9) was dubbed in French but omitted when the show was rerun there in the late '90s, because the broadcaster had lost the episode.
  • No Dub for You: A very bizarre case of this happened with the Spanish-language dub: Originally, it was planned to be broadcasted exclusively in Spain by the TV network Telecinco in 1992, but Spain was hit by a voice actor strike, and Telecinco, without being able to use either actors or studios, was forced to dub the series in Venezuela with Venezuelan voice actors, something unusual in Spain at the time. As a result, the voice actors speaked with Venezuelan accents, but using Spaniard grammar, like voseo, through some Latin American slang is used at time; also, while the series was intended to be broadcasted only in Spain, it was also broadcasted in Uruguay, being the only Latin American country when the show was transmited there. To this date, this dub is the only Spanish language dub for both Spain and Latin America alike.
