• What Could Have Been:
  • When Gary Hart created the Great Kabuki character, Fifita was considered for the role, but was ultimately deemed too young at the time, as he was in his late teens. The Great Kabuki gimmick ended up being given to Akihisa Mera.
  • Based on his reputation, the management of Ultimate Fighting Championship offered Fifita a job there. Fifita declined, saying his conditioning wasn't adequate for competitive fighting. He was in his late 30s at the time - had the offer been made while he was in his 20s, he might very well have become a mixed martial artist if MMA were around at the time.
  • There were also rumors that he was originally selected to fight in the Vale Tudo Japan 1995 event, he gave the same excuse above and was replaced by Craig Pittman instead.
