Trivia / Matt McMuscles

Go To

  • Attention Deficit Creator Disorder: Has produced several different series on his channel, with the Episodes of What Happened, The Worst Fighting Game, and The Mediocre Spider-Matt being released in rotation. He however also has a lot of series that have started but had no updates in a few years, such as his Simpsons Reference playthrough of The Simpsons Hit & Run, Hero or Zero, The Flophouse Files, or The Bug Report, just to name a few.
  • Channel Hop: His Flophouse Plays episodes got their own channel in 2022 in order to separate the Let's Plays from his video essays, as he noticed his viewers individually tended to favor one over the other.
  • Corpsing: While Matt cracks up often during Wha Happun?, the ending of the Bomberman Act:Zero episode, where he reads the Totally Radical Dear Negative Reader blog post on the company's official website, knocked him out for a loop so badly he was unable to actually do the outro properly.
  • Meaningful Release Date: Some of Matt's Wha Happened? episode topics are released roughly around the same time with relevance to a new entry in the franchise he is covering. For example, the episode covering the Doom (2016) reboot was released a few days after Doom Eternal, or the original Resident Evil 4's lengthy development being covered a day after the remake's release. Lampshaded in his Episode covering Batman & Robin, where he describes this as "Algorithmic Synergy" when the video was released a week after The Batman (2022) premiered in theaters.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Matt McMuscles got to record a commentary track with Brady Hartel for the official Fatal Fury anime OVA re-release from Discotek.
