  • The Other Darrin: The original MS-DOS release of the first game featured Ronald B. Ruben as the voice of Mario. The CD-ROM edition two years later recast him with Charles Martinet, who previously played the role at trade shows and conventions. The recast resulted in the CD-ROM version being the first time that Martinet voiced Mario in a video game (predating the oft-cited Mario's Game Gallery by a year), and he would remain Mario's main VA until his departure from the role in 2023.
