Trivia / Love Me Licia

Go To

  • The Cast Showoff: Yakko (Licia) is a singer in this show only because she's played by Cristina D'Avena. The character was never a singer in the anime.
  • Defictionalization: The fictional band Bee Hive (which was originally from an anime) has released real albums. For the Bee Hive Reunion in 2008, the actors even performed live concerts for their fans, where they sang their most popular songs from the series and even released a new song.
  • Dyeing for Your Art: Pasquale Finicelli, an actor with naturally dark brown hair, had to dye it blond with a red forelock ir order to play the male lead Go and keep the character's Anime Hair.
  • Non-Singing Voice:
    • Go is played by Pasquale Finicelli, but dubbed by the same two voice actors he had in the anime, Ivo De Palma for his speaking voice and Enzo Draghi for his singing voice. Ironically, Pasquale Finicelli is also a singer and for the Bee Hive Reunion in 2011, he sings with his own voice.
    • Zig-zagged with Yakko herself. She's played by iconic singer Cristina D'Avena, who obiously provides her character's singing as well, but her speaking voice is provided by Donatella Fanfani, Yakko's Italian voice actress in the anime.
  • The Other Darrin: Many changes from the first to the second season, mainly for secondary characters:
    • In season 2, Hashizo and also Yakko's friend Isuzu are played by different actors, while still keeping the same voice actors (of season 1 and the anime).
    • In season 2, two Bee Hive members and one of Hashizo's kindergarten friends, while still being played by the same actors, changed voice actors.
    • In the first season, Meiko is played by Emanuela Pacotto and voiced by Elisabetta Cucci, the latter being also her voice actress in the anime. From the second season onwards, Emanuela Pacotto plays the character with her own voice.
  • Same Language Dub: Despite being an Italian show, most actors are dubbed by different people, because the show tries to be faithful to the anime's Italian dub. Of course, for a Live-Action Adaptation, they found different actors who fit the characters's appearances, but most of them were dubbed by the anime's Italian voice actors, since the viewers were already familiar with their voices.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • In this show, Cristina D'Avena plays Licia (Yakko), but in the last episode, Steve (one of the Bee Hives) receives a phone call from Cristina D'Avena herself, who asks him to play for her own band, which will happen in a spin-off named Arriva Cristina. In the spin-off, Cristina D'Avena plays herself, even if the two shows exist within the same universe, and Steve is a main character in both of them.
    • From season 2 onwards, Valerio Floriani plays Go's younger brother Hashizo (Andrea), while in Arriva Cristina, he plays Cristina's younger brother Luca. Again, Steve should be very familiar with both kids.
