- Creator Backlash: Lester the Unlikely was one of six SNES games programmed by Brian Greenstone of Pangea Software. On the Pangea website, Greenstone wrote "Lester was a game I never liked. Don't wanna talk about it."
- Stillborn Franchise: The ending states "Watch for Lester, he will be back!" but no other games featuring Lester were ever made.
- What Could Have Been:
- A conversion for the Atari Jaguar was in development and planned to be published by DTMC, but it was never released.
- According to lead artist Bill Stanton as well as the end credits, a sequel was in the planning stages at one point, and would've taken place in Chinatown in San Francisco, with a plot similar to Big Trouble in Little China. The game was scrapped when publisher DMTC went bankrupt.
