- Irony as She Is Cast:
- Richard Anconina is Jewish and played a Gentile (who ends up embracing the religion) in the first film. Also, he's Sephardi while his character passes as Ashkenazi in the middle of a Sephardi community.
- Richard Bohringer is not a Jew at all (his father was a World War II German soldier, actually) and played one.
- The late Élie Kakou was a Tochavim Jew (indigenous Jewish communities from Northern Africa that were not Sephardi), and played a Sephardi.
- The Original Darrin: Vincent Elbaz came back to play Dov Mimran in the third film after Gad Elmaleh played the role in the second film.
- The Other Darrin: Dov was played by Vincent Elbaz in the first film. Elbaz was unavailable for the sequel, and Gad Elmaleh replaced him.
- Similarly Named Works: The English title that's been given to the film series is Would I Lie to You?, which is the same as a British panel show.
- Star-Making Role: The first film was José Garcia's first success and earned him a nomination for César Award for Most Promising Actor (defying Comedy Ghetto in the process).
