Trivia / Kong: The Animated Series

• Acting for Two: Scott McNeil provided both Tann's voice and Kong's roars.
• Dueling Shows: Created at least in part to compete with Godzilla: The Series. Which technically speaking, is unintentionally the closest we got to a remake of King Kong vs. Godzilla until 2021. This was ultimately rendered moot when Godzilla got Screwed by the Network over a year before this show aired.
  • Coincidentally, both shows had aired on Fox Kids.
• Recycled: The Series: This is the second animated series based on King Kong.
• Science Marches On: The episode Framed features a mandrill that is referred to as a baboon. Since 1989, the mandrill is classified under the Mandrillus genus rather than the Papio genus, making the series somewhat outdated in this respect.
