  • Distanced from Current Events: Most likely the reason "Kiss Kiss" was pretty much the only song to get removed on Jubeat Ripples (and the only song to ever be removed until Copious); since at the time, Chris Brown was in the middle of a domestic assault case after an incident with Rihanna in February 2009. Following the incident, some radio stations had refused to play his music, and most of the television commercials he had appeared in at the time (such as his Doublemint Gum ad) got pulled.
  • No Export for You: Averted; Konami tried twice to bring a localized jubeat to American arcades, once with uBeat (a variant of the first game with some new American licenses, including "Sandstorm", "Barbie Girl", "I'm In The Mood for Dancing", "Take on Me", and even Snow's "Informer"!), which was tested alongside the arcade version of DDR X, and jukebeat, a version based off ripples with more localized tracks. Neither made it to production, but some of the songs did surface in Japan; "Kiss Kiss", "YMCA", and the Scatman song were already on jubeat to begin with, and Sandstorm made it on knit.
    • But then, they released an American version of its iOS port, jubeat plus, as "jukebeat" in 2011.
    • Played straight in Malaysia with the earlier jubeat titles. Apparently Konami refused to sell jubeat to Malaysian arcade operators while still happily doing business with arcades from neighbor Singapore. This led to crippled parallel import (read:grey market) machines with e-Amusement disabled and Shoddy Knockoff Products like E-Magic, Magic Touch and Magic Box from Taiwan and China. Malaysia only finally started getting official jubeat releases with jubeat saucer.
  • The Shelf of Movie Languishment: A new jubeat arcade version featuring upgraded hardware (most notably 60 FPS graphics as opposed to the longstanding 30 FPS) was unvelied at JAEPO 2020, but was then cancelled. Instead, when arcade jubeat finally got a new version, jubeat Ave., it was released as a software update to the existing hardware. However, the updated jubeat app for smart-devices received some of the touch-ups the cancelled arcade version got, such as 60 FPS.
