- Cast the Runner-Up: Producer Aaron Spelling originally wanted Natalie Wood to play Jennifer Hart, in a Stunt Casting move that would have added publicity to the series since she was the Real Life wife of Robert Wagner. Wood preferred focusing on relaunching her theatrical film career, although she still did a cameo in the pilot.
- Completely Different Title: The series is known as Pour l'amour du risque (For the Love of Risk) in France and Hart aber herzlich (Hard but Hartily) in Germany.
- Hey, It's That Place!: The exterior shots of the Harts' lavish ranch-style house was used as the exterior of Lora Meredith's house in Imitation of Life (1959).
- What Could Have Been:
- Aaron Spelling's and Leonard Goldberg's initial choice for the role of Jonathan Hart was Cary Grant, but he had retired and was seventy-five years old by this point. George Hamilton was suggested, but Spelling said that if he was signed for the role, "the audience will resent him as Hart for being that rich. But no one will begrudge RJ [Wagner] a nickel".
- Natalie Wood (see above), Kate Jackson and Suzanne Pleshette were considered for Jennifer Hart.
- Working Title: Double Twist.
