Trivia / Happy Tree Friends Adventures

  • Approval of God: Radel999 himself approved the fan-made WordPress blog Happy Tree Friends Adventures Bookmark, which is used to share levels made using HTFA Maker, much like Super Mario Maker's own bookmark website.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Izzy in HTFA 6, much like in the anime he is featured in.
    • Tacho in HTFA Deluxe has this too, considering that Ness (whose voice sample is used for Tacho's voice) is voiced by a voice actress.
  • Development Hell: Many of the upcoming HTFA games were announced by Radel999 himself, few known of these include HTFA Legends and HTFA Fura Fura Power, however, these are being kept on hold, and infamously, HTFA Legends was stuck in development hell since 3 years ago as of 2015.
    • The same can be said for this series' animated adaptation. Apart from the infamous Flash clip of the opening (which has been heavily criticized for many reasons) and several screenshots of the animation's progress, there are no other hints after 3 (or 4) years (as of 2015) since its announcement. However, this is just one of the possibilities, the other being that it's actually canceled. It doesn't help that Radel999 seems to have forgotten about the project and hasn't confirmed its status.
  • Missing Episode: Due to its cancellation, HTF Origins 2 ended up being this.
  • The Other Darrin: In HTFA 4 and 5, all characters use voice samples from their respective franchise (except for certain fan characters). Starting from HTFA 6, certain characters are voiced by other (now former) HTF fans. The female characters are then affected by this trope once again, as they're voiced by a different voice actress in HTFA Land. The updated version of HTFA 6 also switches the voice actress for the playable female characters with the one used in the latter game.
    • The same update for HTFA 6 also replaces Izzy's voice with voice samples of Lucas. (his original voice in cutscenes remains intact, though)
    • Nutty and the female playable characters sans Neena are given new voices in HTFA Maker.
  • Schedule Slip: Earlier on, Radel used to be able to publish multiple HTFA games in a single year (during 2010, though the very first game is the only one to came out in 2009). It began to slow down during 2011, when only HTFA 5 and 6 were released. Justified as those two games were considered very improved compared to the earlier games and required more work put into them. But the same year also marked the infamous Schedule Slip of HTFA Legends. The demo considered it for a 2011 release, but it has yet to show any new updates aside from Word of God like "updated the game engine and graphics".
    • Only one HTFA game was published in 2012, and that was a Retraux spinoff.
    • So does 2013 (HTFA Land). The prototype of the game, however, was revealed around 2 years prior to its full release. HTFA 7 was supposed to be released that same year (it was developed starting from around 2012), but not much is known about its development progress now.
    • After HTFA Land, its sequel, HTFA World, was planned. Its development began during 2014 and the final game was slated for a 2015 release, but slow development caused Schedule Slip to happen yet again.
    • Three years after the release of HTFA Land, a proper HTFA game, Happy Tree Friends Adventures Maker, was finally released. Though this is subverted as the development was rather quick (the version 1.0 of this game was released after about 9 days since its announcement). It's still the only new HTFA game released in 2016, though.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • HTFA 6 originally had Brandy attack using fireballs instead of mini-twisters during his boss battle.
    • The above game's beta also had a test level where Radel999 tests out the (at the time) brand new Special Power mechanic. No such level exists in the final build.
    • King Dedede from the Kirby series was planned to appear in HTFA Land, but he was removed for unknown reasons.
    • There are a few cancelled games:
      • Magical Flaky, a Ninja Gaiden-esque spinoff where you play as Flaky (as Ryu Hayabusa), who is on her journey to rescue Flippy from Bowser.
      • Happy Tree Friends Origins 2: Demon Is Back, a sequel to HTF Origins.
