The original two versions of the game run on the Xbox-based Sega Chihiro hardware, but GHOST Squad Evolution runs on the more modern Sega Lindbergh hardware. Because of the price difference, many arcades skipped out on the upgrade, finding it to be Awesome, but Impractical.

Bad Export for You: Zig-zagged. While American arcades started out using the cardless machines which only have a handful of the unlockables available at the start because people liked to jam coins into the card slots, they were later replaced with the "Evolution" machines, with all of the content available from the start.
