• Cash-Cow Franchise: This is Dreamworks' first TV show not based on an existing property of theirs to become a cash cow. Tons of merchandise exists, the show is Netflix's top kids' series after Cocomelon, there have been multiple events held for the show and it's even getting experiences themed around it at Universal Studios in 2024 and a movie in 2025.
• Creator's Favorite Episode:
  • Traci Paige Johnson says how "Cakey's Cousins" is one of her favorite episodes.
  • Jennifer Twomey said that "Gabby Gets The Hiccups" is one of her favorites.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Cakey, a male character, is voiced by Juliet Donenfeld.
• Out of Order: The episodes of Season 8 appear to have been uploaded in reverse; the first episode sees Gabby and Pandy familiar with the mermaid tails they chose in episode 4, and in that episode Gabby wears the bracelet she unboxes in episode 5 (although it inexplicably appears in episode 6 as well)
• Playing with Character Type: Donovan Patton voices CatRat, who's a Jerk with a Heart of Gold that is well-meaning yet also lazy and snarky. He's better for known for playing Joe and Bot, who are both Nice Guys that are more selfless. In Joe's case it's a bit Downplayed as Joe is also malicious, The Gadfly and can use the Offscreen Teleportation like CatRat does.
• Production Posse: CatRat is voiced by Donovan Patton, who has previously worked on both Blue's Clues (as Joe) and on Team Umizoomi (as Bot), the two shows worked on by Gabby's Dollhouse's co-creators.
• What Could Have Been:
  • There are rumors that there was supposed to be Season 1 episode called “Magician’s Hat” that was retooled into the Season 4 episode “Abra-CAT-dabra!”
  • Cakey’s cousins appeared in a Season 3 poster but the episode debuting them became the first episode of Season 4.
  • The Season 7 trailer has a few clips of an episode about CatRat’s birthday, featuring the return of Fluffy Flufferton. Said episode ended up not being included in Season 7 and has not been uploaded yet.
