- Dummied Out: Grimm Foxy has an unused animation, presumably for the Corn Maze minigame, in which he howls like a wolf before charging.
- Role Reprise: Through recycled voicelines, Scott Cawthon himself returns as Phone Guy and Phone Dude, Aleks Le reprises his role as Nightmarionne from Ultimate Custom Night, Heather Masters returns as Circus Baby (using her quotes from Ultimate Custom Night, in addition to those of Scrap Baby), and Kellen Goff returns as Funtime Freddy, in addition to Becky Shrimpton's giggles recorded for Bon-Bon and Bonnet also returning, Andy Field returns as HandUnit, after he appeared in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator as Tutorial Unit, with completely original dialogue, though the Funtime Foxy level is his only recycled voiceline, and it sounds a bit different compared to his voice from elsewhere in the game, and Christoper McCullough also returns as Foxy from Ultimate Custom Night with completely new dialogue, first by one line for the Freddy Fazbear's Theme below, then the larger presence in his Cap'n Foxy level in The Curse of Dreadbear.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: Bonnie's guitar in the original Five Nights at Freddy's was closely based on a Gibson Flying V, the resemblance to which seems to be the reason it was replaced with a more fictional alternative in this game. This change also carried over into Clickteam's mobile and console ports of the previous FNAF games, all of which worked to replace the guitars of the various Bonnies. Even the movie would give Bonnie the fictional alternative guitar as well.
