• Word of God: Just before the game's official Discord server shut down, the game's head writer Sam held a Q&A where they answered user questions about the game's lore. They also released documents that compiled previously known information in addition to content that was hinted at but never properly revealed in-game. Of particular note:
  • The Watcher is a being that resides in the Betwixt and wants Feral's magic to decay so its realm can feed off it.
  • Latchkey is a remnant of a conflict between magic and technology in the planet's past. Their creator is most likely the Puppetmaster, whose association with technology was lost to the ages because the Myrefolk were the only ones who recalled the event and weren't the best at explaining things they didn't understand.
  • Twiggles can't be killed.
  • "Stories Gone By" elaborates on the creation of the Blood Tundra and the incident that damaged the Sparks of the queens.
