• Banned Episode: One episode of the revival included a task that forced people to chug the show's special blend of donkey urine and semen. NBC was displeased with the producers going this far, and blacklisted the episode, so it's never been shown.
• Money, Dear Boy: On the DVD Commentary for NewsRadio Joe Rogan refers to the show as "Joe gets paid." It turns out - really, really paid. Through some shrewd contract negotiations, NBC agreed to cut him partial ownership of the show when he signed on to host. He essentially never has to work again should he choose not to.
• Similarly Named Works: Back when it was still in development, the survival horror video game Fear Effect was known by the working title of "Fear Factor", long before the creation of this show.
