• Banned Episode: This episode was meant to air as part of the second season in 2000. However, due to its depictions of Judiasm, this episode was shelved for three years after it was produced, not seeing the light of day until September 2003 on the Volume 2 DVD, before airing on [adult swim] in November. A censored version of the episode aired on FOX in December 2004.
• Edited for Syndication: Syndication uses the FOX version of the episode (albeit with a Content Warning at the beginning and with the 20th Century Fox Television logo replaced with the 20th Television logo), but cuts out the scenes of Peter worrying about taking credit for what Max did and Stewie making fun of Meg with her new glasses. Both of these missing scenes include cutaway gags.
• Irony as She Is Cast: In the episode's climax, Peter tries to make Chris convert to Judaism. Seth Green, who voices Chris, really is Jewish.
• Technology Marches On: Max requests to use the Griffins' phone because his car broke down. These days, he could call a tow truck using his cell phone.
