• First Appearance: Bruce is first shown as a clerk in the entertainment shop. Until "No Chris Left Behind", he wasn’t given a name.
• Edited for Syndication: The following scenes were cut from the syndicated version:
  • A few frames during the line, "What the hell are you doing in here anyway?" during the flashback of Lois missing Meg's first birthday milestones.
  • The flashback where Peter fires his gun, along with Lois's lead-in dialogue.
  • One of Stewie's sentences was shortened to remove the mention of "testicular boot camp" and what he learned there.
  • The scene where Chris and Peter are playing arcade driving games.
  • The line, "Heil Hitler!" and Peter's reply of, "Actually, the name's Griffin."
  • The entire scene of Meg introducing Lois to Jennifer. Therefore, we only see Meg mentioning the "party" she was invited to.
  • Brian's line, "If you're gonna pull a party outta your ass, you might wanna stand up," had the word "ass" changed to "butt". This edit caused the following word, "you", to go missing.
  • The shot of the "big ass piñata" was shortened a bit.
  • The beginning of the parade scene, where Peter gets a hold of the parade route sign.
  • The cult leader saying, "Dammit!"
  • The cult leader's line, "I wanna get the hell out of here!" was shortened to remove the phrase "the hell".
• What Could Have Been: According to the table read draft of the script dated August 20, 1998, it shows some surprising differences from the final episode.
  • The episode was intended to have a Cold Open with a The Price Is Right gag in which none of the contestants could name the right price even after Bob Barker told them what it was. Brian telling Bob Barker to "die already" was reused in "Brian in Love".
  • Before Lois walked in, there was going to be a gag where Chris was struggling to do math for kids with A.D.D. and when Peter tried to look up the answer at the back of Chris' book, he sounded an alarm!
  Peter: Guess they don't let you do that anymore.
  • Before Meg came running home crying, there was an intended gag where Peter watched his electric bug zapper on the front porch kill mosquitos before wondering what it felt like. With him almost putting his fork into an electrical outlet before Meg stopped him.
  • The bit where Peter innocently cheered Meg's fake cheer is absent.
  • The flashback to Meg's first birthday party was placed in between Peter's #1 Dad shirt gag and the "No Fat Chicks" gag is not present in this draft.
  • The reason Peter loses the reservation at Cheesie Charlie's different. Compared to the final, where Peter and Chris goofed off and Peter got an attitude that ruined it, here Peter gets the idea from Quagmire and Cleveland the restaurant's ripping him off. As such, the scenes where Peter and Chris play around - minus the ball pit scene which got reworked - are absent, as well as Peter's tall tale about Cheesie Charlie.
