  • Distanced from Current Events: The park cut off its association with Russian majority state-owned gas and oil company Gazprom and its sister firm Nord Stream 2 due to the internationally condemned large scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia that started in February 2022 and economic sanctions upon Russia. Gazprom/Nord Stream 2 sponsored several rides, most notably the "Blue Fire Megacoaster", which prominently advertised the company and featured wall and video presentations of its activities in the queue area. The park also housed Ukrainian refugees in its hotels during the worst phase of the refugee crisis this war has caused.
  • Prop Recycling: The doombuggies of "Universum der Energie" (rebranded/retooled as "Madame Freudenreich Curiosités" since) originally come from the ride "Voyage Under the Sea" at the defunct French theme park Mirapolis, which operated from 1987 to 1991.
  • Release Date Change: The new big 2024 ride, "Voltron", had its opening (which was supposed to happen on April 26, 2024) delayed because of technical issues.
