• The Other Darrin: Don Karnage is played by Jaime Camil instead of Jim Cummings reprising his role from TaleSpin - despite Cummings reprising his other most famous Disney Afternoon role, Darkwing Duck, in another episode. The creators justified this decision by wanting to put a "new spin" on the character, and having an actual Hispanic actor playing a Hispanic pirate. (The latter rationale went poorly with the fanbase, considering that the original Karnage didn't have a fixed nationality to be adhered to; his accent wasn't even in the script, but instead made up on the spot by Jim Cummings as a hodge-podge of Spanish, Cuban, French and Italian, with "a dash of Ricky Ricardo".)
