Creator Killer: Due to the above poor sales, Dr. Muto was the very last game released by any incarnation of the original Atarinote The arcade division (Atari Games) was sold to Midway and renamed "Midway Games West" in 2000. It was disbanded in 2003, shortly after releasing the game.
This was also one of the many financial failers that lead to the closer of Midway Games in 2010.
