Trivia / Detective Pikachu Returns

• Role Reprise:
  • Hilariously, Bill Rogers used to voice Brock's Croagunk. He happened to retain the role for two random Croagunk.
  • After Harry and Detective Pikachu are returned to their proper bodies, Ikue Otani reprises Pikachu. She also voices him during the flashback scenes with Harry.
• The Other Darrin: Kōichi Yamadera and Yūto Uemura take over from Tōru Ōkawa and Yuma Uchida as Detective Pikachu and Tim Goodman in the Japanese version.
• Schedule Slip: The game was originally announced in May 2019, but no further information was known until June 2023 when it was given a title and release date. As a result the game contains no Generation 9 content (which was announced in February 2022 and released in November of the same year).
• Sequel Gap: Released five years after the previous game.
