- Playing Against Type: Todd Haberkorn, known for either voicing young Hot-Blooded heroes or smug, villainous bastards in anime, here plays Doc McCoy, a dour doctor who’s Only in It for the Money.
- Sequel Gap: Desperados III was released a good 13 years after Helldorado. It didn't help that both Helldorado and Cooper’s Revenge were universally considered disappointing sequels.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, both Mimimi and THQ wanted to include a mission where McCoy loses his eye on-screen in a “much more interesting and less random” fashion — this was the reason he was retconned into having both his eyes in the first place — but the mission was cut sometime mid-development.
