Trivia / Dead Space: Extraction

Go To

  • Acclaimed Flop: The game received a positive reception from both critics and fans and is generally considered one of the best horror titles on the Wii. However, it was later revealed that the game underperformed massively in sales despite the praise, with an analyst in the industry believing it being due to EA's lack of marketing for the game while the game's writer, Antony Johnston, cited in an interview that he believed the game's poor sales being partly due to the Wii being associated with a more family-friendly audience.
  • Refitted for Sequel: The Flier and Grabber Necromorphs were originally planned for the first Dead Space but were cut from that game and are introduced here.
  • Word of God: Steve Papoutsis, the game's Executive Producer, confirmed that McNeill was the Necromorph that attacks Lexine in the game's final cutscene.
