• Character Outlives Actor: Desi Quijo, played by Roberto Cairo, was pulled out of the series due to Cairo's decease. The initial explanation In-Universe was that Desi went back to the town where he was born and rekindled his romance with his childhood crush, despite having a wife waiting for him at home. Logically, fans didn't take kindly to it, so eventually Desi was Killed Off for Real.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Miguel's daughter, Françoise, was played by Patricia Figón in a one-off appearance in season 1; when the character returned as a regular secondary in season 10, Aida Folch replaced Figón in playing her.
  • Inés has been played by two different actresses, Irene Visedo and Pilar Punzano.
  • The younger sister, María Alcántara, has also swapped actresses repeatedly (she has been played, in chronological order, by Esmeralda García, Celine Peña, Paula Gallego, Carmen Climent, and by Silvia Abascal in the present-day storyline of season 21), but at least one of them was due to a Time Skip.
  • And in Season 22, in order to focus the plot on the younger generation, Oriol, Santi (sons of the original Alcántara siblings), and Diana (the older daughter of Paquita, and both an aunt second and fourth removed of them), receive new actors. While understandable in Diana's case since she had last appeared several years before and was a very minor character, Santi and Oriol were supporting characters the season before.
