• Hostility on the Set: A personal conflict between Daydreaming Birdie and the composer of the show's original theme song resulted in Daydreaming Birdie cutting ties with the composer, forcing the composition of a new theme song, with LastyGhost authoring it. When LastyGhost's theme was test-placed over the original opening sequence, it was unsuccessful, forcing the creation of a new opening sequence. Both the new theme and the new sequence debuted in episode 4.
  • LastyGhost herself had a falling-out with DDB that lasted from December 29, 2022 to February 16, 2023. As a result of this conflict, the original version of CRiTORA: Abnormal was canceled in favor of an entirely new iteration.
• The Other Darrin: Several, to the point where Coneboy is the only main character who never had his voice actor changed.
  • The earlier prototype episodes had Spottie (known as Spot at the time) and Avery provided by Jenna Long and Evelin Case respectively.
  • Avery was voiced by Tamii in Season 0. She was then voiced by Wubcake, but has since been replaced by Elyse Hales due to Wubcake abruptly cutting ties with Daydreaming Birdie. The subsequent controversy surrounding Wubcake pretty much killed any interest DDB had in working with her thereafter.
  • Bunsen was provided by aihearteevee, but Daydreaming Birdie went on to voice him due to him temporarily losing contact with the former voice actor. However, aihearteevee would then go on to voice Chap Adams.
  • Nuzzie was originally voiced by Olivia Anne. As of the episode Error 404, she is now voiced by IMShadow007.
  • Even Big G, who has a Synthetic Voice Actor, was subjected to this. Originally, text-to-speech website notevibes.com was used to provide his voice, but the site put a limit on how many words could be generated for free, so it was switched out in favor of ttsmp3.com.
