Trivia / Corruption Expanded

Go To

  • Acting for Two: ElSaxeBro voices Joe, one of the Tankmen soldiers who came to support Ruv in "Rebellion", and Tabi facing off Evil Daddy Dearest.
  • Approval of God: Phantom Fear himself has voiced approval of this series, judging by his comment on the Mid-Fight Masses finale.
  • Descended Creator: Vzer who is known for being one of the composers for this mod also serves as the voice actor for Ruv during the cutscenes of Week 2.
  • Non-Singing Voice: Whenever Evil Girlfriend lets out her giggles in the cutscene before "Intermission", her giggles come from the voice samples of PincerProd in "Estrange". For Evil Girlfriend's screams and singing voice in "Intermission", she is voiced by Alexxa.
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: Like with canon Corruption, at the end of most videos, fanart is showcased.
  • Shrug of God: In a Youtube community post for Carl and Joe, the decision for Vixtin to add Lemon Demon/Monster as the creator of the Corruption is left unknown, as Vixtin requires Phantom Fear to confirm if Lemon Demon/Monster is the true creator of the Corruption from the original Friday Night Funkin': Corruption.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The characters in Week 2 were initially supposed to be speaking English, but because of not having any English voice actors, the characters occasionally speak Spanish and English.
    • In Vzer's video on the FNF music he never showed to his audience, various songs of Corruption Expanded were reworked to what they came out as the final product.
      • Vzer composed a menu theme for Corruption Expanded, but was discarded and replaced with the original Friday Night Funkin': Corruption mod menu theme.
      • "Rebellion" was initially suppose to be added for a previous mod before Corruption Expanded, until deciding that the song fits Corruption Expanded.
      • "Presledovanila" sounded differently than what it came out as.
      • "Blasphemy" was going to have Ruv sing off against Sarvente in battle, but was reworked, due to Vzer realizing Sarvente wouldn't be in the song.
  • Word of God:
    • A post made by Vixtin in their community post for Joe and Carl's upcoming battle reveals of Evil Skid and Pump's fate in the aftermath of having corrupted Sarvente. With Evil Skid and Pump successful of their goal to corrupt Sarvente, the both of them stay on the rooftop of her church, before they decide on moving on to corrupt more survivors.
    • A questioned answered by Vixtin the community post for the upcoming battle of Carl and Joe is in regard to if the finale of Sarvente's week takes place at the same time of "Blasphemy". Vixtin answered the commentor by replying "The events of the Ruv week take place three days after the events of the end of Sarv."
    • Evil Pico's ability to mutate himself to become stronger is explained by Vixtin through a Youtube comment made on his community post about Carl and Joe's battle. Vixtin reveals the Corruption in the Expanded mod is more powerful when compared to the original Friday Night Funkin': Corruption, as it has the ability to mutate itself into more powerful forms through five phases. The Corruption is able to evolve every time a victim trapped inside it attempts to break free.
      • Vixtin in the comment section has also counted the number of times Evil Pico had mutated his body to become stronger. The first phase of Evil Pico's Corruption is his appearance in "Matricide", a song from Friday Night Funkin': Corruption. The second phase of Evil Pico's Corruption happens in "Schizophrenzy", where he gains glowing eyes. For "Rebellion", Evil Pico goes through his third mutation phase when he is temporarily knocked out by Ruv's voice. The fourth mutation phase occurs for Evil Pico, upon recovering his body from Pico's attempt to kill himself in the head. For the hypothetical appearance on Evil Pico's fifth phase, Vixtin believes it to be the Nexus form.
Vixtin: "well counting the phases ps: - The first, in Matricidal (before Mom semi-uncorbroke) (This one had no sparkle in his eyes). - The second, what you see from Schizophrenzy, Deathmatch to mid-Rebellion. (if you have a sparkle in your eyes). - The third (in Rebellion) (this one didn't last long) as Pico shoots up - The fourth and last shown after Pico upgrades to his current design. - and the fifth is its nexus form, hypothetically. (although I think you won't see much since it depends on peak decorruption)."
