- Keep Circulating the Tapes: After director Victor Salva was convicted in 1988 for sexually abusing lead actor Nathan Forest Winters, the film generated enough controversy to ensure that it would never be rereleased following its initial theatrical run and home media release in 1990. There was a DVD release in 2003 to tie in to the then-upcoming Jeepers Creepers 2, but online outcry led to it being pulled from sale after a brief period, with the sold copies becoming collector’s items.
