• Dawson Casting: Both lead actors are playing high schoolers despite being in their twenties. Relatively minor example, though, as both had only just turned twenty when filming.
• Fake American:
  • Emma Lahana, who plays Brigid O'Reilly, is from New Zealand.
  • Gloria Reuben, who plays Adina Johnson, is Canadian.
  • Andrea Roth, who plays Melissa Bowen, is also Canadian.
• Irony as She Is Cast: The behind the scenes notes the irony of Dilshad Vadsaria (Lia), an advocate for women's rights and gender equality, playing a sex trafficker.
• Late Export for You: Not every country has it readily available for streaming, specially once Disney took it out of Netflix along with the other MCU shows — this meant that in countries without Hulu, Cloak & Dagger had to wait a while to enter Disney+ (2021 in Australia and Canada, 2022 in Latin America), unlike Runaways (2017) being there by launch (even if seasons 2 and 3 — the last of whom has a crossover with Tandy and Ty! — took a few months to enter).
• You Look Familiar: Greg Pressfield is played by Gary Weeks, who previously played Agent Foster in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
