• Dawson Casting: Aviva is a teenager, but Danielle Harris was twenty-one.
• Hostility on the Set: On her podcast, Talk Scary to Me, Danielle Harris confessed to how miserable her on-set experience was. Shannen Doherty was very mean to her in particular, supposedly for talking to a crew member she had previously dated. According to her, the main cast were "always fighting". She did however later appear as a guest on the House of Halliwell podcast with Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause and Drew Fuller - on friendly terms with everyone.
• Real Life Writes the Hairstyle: Danielle Harris was told to dye her hair red when she was cast, as Aaron Spelling felt she looked too similar to the leads. As she was shooting a movie at the same time, she couldn't change it for continuity reasons, so the slicked back hairstyle was an alternative.
• Throw It In!: Brian Krause actually tripped over the fireplace, and Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano ad-libbed their reactions to it.
• You Look Familiar: Rebecca Balding who plays Aunt Jackie would later appear in a recurring role as Phoebe's boss at the Bay Mirror Elise Rothman.

• It seems as if Aviva had latent witch genes which were just starting to reveal themselves. She had basic witch powers (such as spell-casting) before Kali granted her powers. When Piper froze the room, Aviva stayed unfrozen.
• This is the only time that Piper calls Grams 'grandma'.
• Kali suggests that Aviva should use Phoebe to get close to the Charmed Ones. Cole does the same thing three years later.
• In Phoebe's premonition of Prue's attack, everything is black and white except for the fireball. This could be due to it being a magical attack.
• Prue's powers are shown to be growing as she can now close doors without having to see them.
• Brian Krause was so nervous on his first day that he admitted to smoking a joint when he had a six hour break between scenes, and was still partially high when he got back to set.
