- Content Leak:
- The third issue was prematurely sold by some stores a week ahead of schedule.
- A video uploaded by Felix Art Studio in late November 2022 showed Concept Art by Ryan Stegman of Cletus Kasady bonded to the Extrembiote. While many fans initially assumed it was a scrapped design and that either Stegman had been involved early on in Extreme Carnage or that Extreme Carnage had originated as the post-King in Black arc of Stegman and Donny Cates' Venom run, Ram V confirmed on Twitter that the concept art was for Cletus Kasady's then-upcoming comeback in Carnage (2022).
- Fandom Nod: During and in the leadup to Absolute Carnage, many longtime Carnage fans complained that Cletus' devotion to Knull was too out-of-character, speculating that either Knull was brainwashing him through their metaphysical link and/or that Cletus intended to betray the King in Black and seize the dark god's power for himself in a step up from what he'd done with Chthon in Carnage (Vol. 2). In Carnage (Vol. 3) #3, the Carnage symbiote confirms that Cletus intended to do exactly this, but was beaten to the punch by Eddie Brock.
- Line to God: Ram V has a Twitter account where he occasionally chats with fans about his works.
- Schedule Slip: Owing to supply chain issues and shortages created and/or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, several issues have been delayed by weeks at a time.
