• Colbert Bump: "Baby Blue" by Badfinger saw a nearly 9000% increase in online streaming and largely increased sales on iTunes, topping nearly 50,000 downloads since the finale aired.
• Creator's Favorite Episode: Bryan Cranston named this as one of his two favourite episodes.
• Throw It In!:
  • The amazing shot of Skyler reflected in the microwave was completely accidental. Vince Gilligan admits not knowing he got it until the editor complimented it.
  • The crew did several takes of the shot where Walter leaves a bloodstain on the meth tank as he falls to the floor. They decided to use the one where his fingers, completely by accident, left a smear in the shape of Walter White's initials.
• What Could Have Been: There was one scene cut from the final script for budget and time reasons. It took place after Walt makes the call in which he pretends he's the Times reporter. In it, a former student of Walt recognizes him. Walt pays him off and threatens him to make sure he doesn't rat him out. But before leaving the former student, he asks, "What kind of teacher was I?" The former student replies, "You were good," and says he remembered the time Walt sprayed different chemicals at a flame and it made different colors.
• Word of God:
  • Vince Gilligan revealed what happened to Jesse after he was saved from being a slave to the Neo-Nazis. He managed to get clean and start a wood shop. The details behind this are fleshed out in El Camino. Since Vince Gilligan is a major believer of karma, he seems to think that Jesse needed this after all he went through over the course of two years.
  • Walt saving Jesse. It's confirmed that Walt was planning to kill Jesse but he couldn't bring himself to do it.
